Behaviour is one of if not the most important aspects of life. It plays a critical role in structural and physiological adaptations and is how we as humans define our own lives. Behaviour is the way in which an animal or person behaves in response to a particular situation or stimulus, this could include environment, community or reproduction etc...
The study of these action can be used to determin the future bebehavior of the animal, for example if an animal is at its most dangeous during mating seasons, these actions can allow people to be aware that these animals my be more dangerous at this time, warning them to stay away.
It can also reveal aspects of how he as humans learn basic actions, or instincts, from a young age, giving us an insight as to how our brain functions from an ealrly age.
The study of animal behaviors allows for us as observers to determin characteristics about the animal, in the case of the duck it providedes infomation on when the duck may be at its most visious, giving us the infomation needed for us to not disturb it and cease harm.
